In Germanic mythology, Thor is a hammer-wielding God associated with lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the protection of mankind. The son of Odin uses his abilities as the God of Thunder to protect Asgard and planet Earth alike. Learn about Thor on the official site of Marvel. Most people know Loki as Thor's brother. However, the God of Mischief actually appeared in Marvel Comics before his flashy sibling did.
