One of the oldest engines on the railway-in fact, he helped build the NWR-Edward may be teased by the others for his age, but they all nonetheless respect him and look up to him, as his decades of experience and general good nature have turned him into a mentor figure for many of the other engines, always willing to give advice and let them know how to do something they don't know.
