For years, many of the magical and mystical lands described in myths, legends and folklore (colloquially known as “homelands”) were occupied by an enigmatic tyrant known only as the adversary. To escape the adversary and his plundering army, many of the creatures and characters known as "fables" have fled into the real world and created a territory known as "Fabletown" in colonial America, now located in modern Manhattan.
