Patalamon is a poacher just like his father, Kerick, and the rest of the crew who works for the notorious Captain Morris McTrevor. The poachers' job is to kill animals, including seals, for money. Patalamon knows that Kotick is really a white seal while his superstitious father thinks that Kotick is a ghost. Even worse, Captain McTrevor knows a fortune when he hears one; therefore, our white, furry hero had better find a new home for him and his fellow seals before it's too late.
