Fan Casting The War

The world has been trapped within an unending war between the humans and the Slyveshi, a humanesque race of ethereal creatures, practically since creation. No matter what, it doens't seem to end. At this point, people barely remember why it started. Every year, the humans draft their 16 year olds. Slyveshi rarely die. It's no wonder so many humans do.

Luken Harlow is stuck fighting even if he finds the whole thing pointless. It's expected of him. After all, his heroic, high-ranking parents died for this war. Why shouldn't he? But none of it matters to him.

Erion has a role to play. As prince of his people, he must fight and show them he cares. His sister, Enkara, has proven to be a strong leader and, as next in line, he has to show that he can follow in her footsteps, if necessary. But Erion has a dangerous weakness. He has a heart. And it hasn't done him any favors, until he meets a human who does too.

Loyalties, choices, and opinions will shift. Friends will become enemies while enemies will become friends. The world may be falling apart and changing at the same time but there is one constant:
