This is an American film or TV adaptation of the Australian-made YA novel, Tomorrow, When the war began by John Marsden and to be co-produced in both America and Australia. It focus on Elle, a young 16-year-old Australian girl who leads a group of teenage freedom fighters to fight back on the invaders who attacked an outback town in Australia and hold the group’s parents as prisoners.
