Description of Mr. Vale:

Cia's father is a renowned biological engineer who has played a vital role in restoring plant life to Five Lakes Colony. He has never shared his Testing experiences with his family, but when Cia is selected as a Candidate, he brokenheartedly tells of the fragmented nightmares that he shares with other graduates. Mr. Vale might not be able to keep her from the United Commonwealth, but he hopes to give his daughter an advantage in the intense challenges to come.
