Description of Michal Gallen:

Michal is a Testing graduate from years ago and the Tosu City official chosen to escort Cia and her classmates when they are selected for the Testing. He singles Cia out almost immediately when she demonstrates remarkable intelligence and discretion, and the two develop a shaky friendship. After Cia recovers her memories after the Testing and attempts to flee the horrors that the United Commonwealth has perpetrated, it is Michal who confronts her and convinces her to stay and fight for justice.
