The hunchbacked servant in Castle Frankenstein. He was hired by Victor's father who took pity on him after he couldn't find any work due to his hunchback. As a result, Karl feels a great gratitude to the late Baron, and serves both him and his son, after the former's death, to honour him for his kindness. His loyalty is pushed to its limits by Victor's experiments, which he is forced to help with, but after his creation goes on a rampage, he refuses to help Victor, and lets him be convicted of the creature's murders.
