Story Plot

The Tarbosaurus King II: Samson's Kingdom (later retitled The Tarbosaurus King 2: Samson's Kingdom) is a 2005 American animated direct-to-video romantic musical film and a sequel to 20th Century Fox's 2003 animated feature film, The Tarbosaurus King. The story takes place in a kingdom of dinosaurs in the prehistoric age and was influenced by William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. According to co-director Darrell Rooney, the final draft gradually became a variation of Romeo and Juliet.

Produced by 20th Century Fox Home Video and Fox Animation Australia and released on September 27, 2005, the film centers on Samson and Natalie's daughter Kaila, who falls in love with Koro, a male rogue tarbosaurus from a banished Mesozoic that was once loyal to Samson's evil uncle, Sarpedon. Separated by Samson's prejudice against the banished pride and a vindictive plot planned by Koro's mother Zyphire, Kaila and Koro struggle to unite their estranged prides and be together.
