Fan Casting The Super Mario Bros. & Sonic Super Movie (1998)

Dr. Robotnik has created a portal device to teleport Sonic to another planet so he can conquer Mobius! For a test drive, he, Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts have teleported themselves to an unknown planet that not even Dr. Robotnik has discovered. They have landed in the Mushroom Kingdom, and have been approached by King Koopa. But it seems Robotnik and Koopa have two things in common: they both want to conquer a planet, and they have a thorn in their sides that have been there for YEARS! With this portal device, Robotnik has transported Sonic and Tails to the Mushroom Kingdom! Robotnik pretends to be a hero from Mobius to "warn" Mario and his friends of a new threat: a hedgehog called Sonic! Eventually, Mario and Sonic fought but it turns out Robotnik was the threat, and has teamed up with Koopa! Will Mario and Sonic's alliance beat the unholy team-up of Koopa and Robotnik?
