  • erinbailey1 Theo described himself as plain. So I think whoever plays his character shouldn’t have any type of traditional or mainstream good looks that immediately grab the attention of strangers. (Those good looks should be reserved for Gabriel). Theo should have boyish good looks that make him appear trustworthy and better looking with clever conversation (to snag the out-of-his-league Kathy), but plain enough for a viewer to understand how Kathy was seduced, as well as Theo being able to seamlessly, and convincingly, vacillate between good guy/bad guy roles. When you have limited time to tell a story, layering the script with visual clues/cues/stereotypes seems a good way to fit more of the story in without having to tell it all outright. While we can’t see monsters on the outside, we are programmed to believe that they definitely aren’t supposed to be breathtakingly beautiful. No, we believe those type are more tempted to be cheaters…
