The Shadow is the costumed vigilante identity of former World War I fighter pilot and spy Kent Allard, who spends much of his time living in New York under the alias of wealthy man-about-town Lamont Cranston, while maintaining a network of agents who aid him in his crime-fighting activities in various capacities.
