In the year 2040, advanced technology has taken over the world and humans are on the brink of extinction. A-2000, a highly sophisticated cyborg assassin known as The Nexus, is sent from the future by an oppressive regime to eliminate Rita Wright. Rita is an ordinary woman living in 1984, unaware of the pivotal role her unborn son, John Wright, will play in leading the resistance against the tyrannical rulers.
