Rival kingdoms that normally hate each other are suddenly cooperating, several nobles are secretly meeting behind closed doors, and his father seems increasingly suspicious of those closest to him. While everyone focuses on Lucian as the future of Valeria, Caelan quietly observes the political games surrounding his family. By the end of the episode, Caelan discovers that someone inside the palace is secretly communicating with a foreign kingdom—and when he confronts the mysterious messenger, he realizes the conspiracy reaches much closer to the throne than he ever imagined.
