The latest future Assassin's Creed title updates with GTA-style open-world game
Ubisoft has confirmed they intend to expand on the modern-day storyline and the global conflict between the Assassin and Templar Orders. The future Assassin's Creed game titles will continue to explore diverse historical settings, with gameplay remaining centered around the Assassin-Templar conflict within those eras. The core AC games primarily use the Animus to explore historical settings. While there is a modern-day overarching narrative, the bulk of the gameplay takes place in the past. While many fans have expressed interest in a Cold War setting such as the Stasi, the Kremlin, East Berlin, Cuba as well as the Duvalier era in Haiti, the Vietnam War, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the Gulf War of 1991 as a similar content to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which Incorporates a heavy gun use, modern military elements, and vehicles in the style of GTA along with Call of Duty would drastically depart from the series' emphasis on stealth, parkour, and melee combat in historical urban and natural environments around the globe including the former Soviet Union. The first modern AC game will feature street gangs and drug dealers as primary antagonists, the specific "school bully" and "global criminal underworld" narrative is outside the scope of current plans of Rockstar's Bully, and finally the first modern AC future game titles have reintroduced health bars and minimaps, so these specific UI elements are common.
