  • joshparker Sigh. It seems like every one of these lists is dominated by people who aren't looking to cast new or exciting actors in these parts but are instead just looking to replace the actors they're already familiar with. Wolverine is a tall Australian, right? So let's replace Jackman with Karl Urban. Professor X is an older British guy, right? So let's replace Patrick Stewart with Ralph Fiennes. Hank McCoy is a scruffy older man, right? So Kelsey Grammer gets replaced with Joel Edgerton. No, no, no. Let's try and do the comics justice this time. Prof. X as a younger, American man. Wolverine as a short, ugly Canadian. Cyclops, Iceman, Beast, Angel and Jean Grey as the founding members, and still younger. They don't have to be teens, but mid-40's actors?

    • joshparker   @joeyfantana still not a fan of the Professor being in his 60’s. Late 40’s, early 50’s at the oldest and even there I’d prefer he look about 45.

    • joshparker   @fredericarrowsmith at the very least, I say let’s try for short and not movie-star handsome. I don’t insist on 100% accuracy but I’m tired of seeing suggestions for Wolvie who are tall, handsome and super-famous (I mean, Jason Momoa is a suggestion!). Brendan Fletcher can definitely be uglier/scruffied up to play him.
