"They shouldn't have hunted what they couldn't kill!"
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the book "The Most Dangerous Game," here is a MyCast representing the pitch I came up with 3 or 4 years ago for a new movie based on the book in time for it's 100th anniversary. Though that ultimately did not come to past, I've decided to at least make a MyCast to reflect my vision. As you will see with the poster and tagline, this new adaptation takes more so from a film like John Woo's/Jean Claude Van Damme's "Hard Target" then it does the original novel or 1932 film adaptation, as I do see this story as about a homeless man (like "Hard Target" and Ernest Dickerson's/Ice-T's "Surviving the Game") versus wealthy elite hedge fund managers, real estate moguls, and even politicians. I would want this to be a hardcore action movie like we used to get all the time in the 1980s and 1990s like with "Hard Target" and yet so rarely get with every passing decade, only with the rare films like "The Raid" franchise, the "John Wick" franchise, and the "Mad Max" franchise as seen with legacy sequel "Mad Max: Fury Road" and prequel "Furiosa."
