Story Plot
The Monk claimed that they started fresh after every regeneration, adopting a policy of separation between his incarnations. While they claimed to drop all grudges held by their past selves and asked those that encountered him to consider the action of his other selves as the actions of different people, the Monk consistently held onto their grievance with the Doctor.
