San Diego, 1977: Marco Apollo Molinari is an Italian expatriate and politically committed Republican college student. Disappointed by his everyday life, he starts a career as a wizard with the name of "Mighty Ollopa" ("Apollo" spelled backwards) starting appearing on TV and participating on reality shows. But in the early 2000s, he's accused of tax evasion... Based on the real story of Italian magician Mago Otelma (featured in the pic) and "The King of Polka".
