Fan Casting The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (1950s)

In the idyllic quiet of the Shire, a young hobbit named Frodo Baggins comes into possession of a powerful ring. Inherited from his eccentric uncle, Bilbo, the adventurous hobbit is tasked with delivering the ring to Rivendell, home of the Elves where its fate can be decided. With the help of the wizard Gandalf, a charismatic ranger named Aragorn, and the Elven rider Arwen, Frodo, and his hobbit companions, Sam, Merry, and Pippin travel around Middle Earth on their mission. All the while, however, the evil eye of Sauron grows stronger in search of the ring that can restore him to his former greatness.
