Exhausted after Annihilation, and thought dead, Star-Lord is revealed to have been stuck on an alien planet, with no way of getting back. Stripped of his cosmic adventures, Peter attempts to navigate mundane alien life, and take a job as a bartender at a bar. Throughout his time grounded, he deals with street-level alien threats, copes with his recent divorce with Kitty Pryde, and searches for a way back to the stars before finally securing passage back into deep space.
