Story Plot

in 1996 a crew comprised of explorers and film crew lead by director Carl Denham aboard a ship called the SS Adventurer to the mysterious island dubbed Skull Island far from the coast of Sumatra to film a documentary there about the legends surrounding a mysterious deity known as Kong

    to make Kong a bit more different from Godzilla in this universe as where Godzilla's the usual city destroying, military fighting and monster action we all know in love albeit more rooted in sci fi, Kong would be a bit more action adventure and something more pulp based the likes of Edgar Rice Burroughs as well movies like Indiana Jones but with giant monsters

    @axiomman for Gamera which later down the road I might do eventually just like Kong and Godzilla while yes there's the usual kaiju action we all are familiar with but it's more something align with supernatural mystery and fantasy mainly Gamera's Atlantean backstory

    regarding Hank Marlow's role well him and Col. Preston Packard's disappearance are what inadvertently kickstarted the events
