Story Plot

The Legend of Scarface is a 2025 American science fiction action adventure film written and directed by Colin Trevorrow from a story by Zack Snyder and Jerry Bruckheimer. Produced by Legendary Pictures, The Stone Quarry, and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, it is the first installment in the Legend of Scarface film series. The film stars Sasha Calle in the title role alongside Piper Rubio, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ella Anderson, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, John Leguizamo, and Sofia Vergara. In the film, half-human and half-extraterrestrial hybrid and former Imperial officer Arabella protects two young sisters for whom she serves as the guardian when their lives are threatened by a power-hungry general of the oppressive Empire of Peace. The Legend of Scarface had its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on December 7th, 2025, and was released on December 29th for the streaming service Netflix; following a strong debut that broke several box-office records, the film was a financial success, grossing $1.23 billion worldwide against a break-even point of $140 million, becoming Netflix's most successful launch item. It received generally positive reviews from critics and audiences, who praised Calle's performance and chemistry with Rubio and Anderson, Trevorrow's direction, the action sequences, visuals, and score. A sequel is in production with Calle, Rubio, Anderson and Abdul-Mateen set to return and Snyder set to replace Trevorrow as the director.

I ran into this MyCast user via my Poppy Playtime adaptions! Please provide our new friend a warm welcome! Now, onto the story. So yes, we are back here in The Legend of Scarface, and that's because I decided to upgrade the plot and make it longer, and also chose to add an R-rating this time. Please enjoy! :)

    @misterwolf Oh, and I forgot to mention, it takes inspiration from the Rebel Moon movies, and I just wanna say that I watched the director's cuts of both. I HIGHLY recommend watching the director's cuts, they're R-rated but much longer and make more sense.

    Plot: On the planet Vitruvius, a young but also experienced working girl named Arabella is the guardian of two sisters, ten-year-old Kora and seventeen-year-old AJ, and raises them like they were her own while also working as a handler for giant black hawk-like beings called Owlhawks. However, the male handlers treat her like a slave and often try to take advantage of AJ. One day while working with AJ and the chieftain of the Honor-Blood Village, Darrius Octavian, Arabella spots a ship representing the Empire of Peace, a corrupt and power-hungry military, landing on Vitruvius, and warns the entire village of this.

    A high-ranking officer of the Empire, General Tiberius, dispatches his commandos to oversee the villagers he demands to deliver supplies to his army and also seriously injures Octavian to ensure they follow his orders. The villagers decide to do as Tiberius says, but Arabella chooses to leave with Kora and AJ, reasoning that she refuses to throw hers and the sisters' lives away. However, her coworkers and the commandos attempt to stop her by threatening the safety of the sisters, thus forcing her to kill them. She then relents leaving the villagers to die, and they reject Tiberius' demands when she saves Octavian from being killed by the last commando, whom she spares when he states that he was only following orders.

    Arabella reveals her past to the villagers; she was once a member of the Empire, and she received her scar during a violent battle during the Great War, thus earning her the name "Scarface". She then leaves Vitruvius with Kora and AJ, promising to kill Tiberius before she returns. When Kora questions Arabella about her past, the latter assures her that she is deeply depressed by her own actions and that she will always try to make things right. She adds that on the day she adopted Kora and AJ as her own family, she had killed her own father, Aurelius, when he demanded that she stayed in the Empire, as a means to ensure that she could not be followed after faking her death. The following morning, Octavian gives the three an Owlhawk named Zephira, whom they ride away to visit Elisha, Arabella's mother, as a means to be given safe passage out of Vitruvius.

    Elisha agrees to help, and bestows her own ship, which is large enough for Zephira to enter. Arabella flies the ship to a volcanic planet called Hades, where she and the sisters meet their confidant, Atticus Warren, for supplies, armor, and weapons. Warren agrees and also decides to join them on their quest. Meanwhile, Tiberius learns that Kora and AJ are survivors of Aetherium Moon, the planet where Arabella betrayed the Empire and saved the sisters, and quicly realizes that Arabella is his former commando and that her death was staged. Enraged that she betrayed him all those years ago, he sends his troops after her and places a bounty worth $50 billion on her head. Hiding on the rainstorm planet Zeus, Arabella is ambushed by a group of bounty hunters and Tiberius' troops, who eventually gain the upper hand and capture both her and the sisters, while Atticus contacts Octavian for help in rescuing them.

    Arriving on the icy planet Mephala, home of the Empire, Tiberius interrogates Arabella and brutally tortures her, but she never caves in during every attempt. Atticus and Octavian arrive in Mephala and infiltrate Tiberius' ship; they free Kora and AJ and then rescue Arabella, bloodied but still alive. They escape the planet and return them to Zeus, where they leave the sisters weapons and food for survival, as well as medical supplies to help Arabella recover.

    Tiberius discovers their escape but does not suspect that they have gone back to Zeus, so he orders a search mission for Arabella and the sisters across other galaxies. A healing Arabella wakes up to find that the sisters are learning how to use the weapons; Arabella motivates them to continue.

    Atticus contacts Arabella and warns her about Tiberius' ships searching for her, and she heeds his warning when she discovers bounty hunters as she hunts for meat. She kills the bounty hunters and steals an earpiece from one of them. Before replacing her own earpiece with the one she stole, Arabella contacts Atticus and Octavian for help, and they agree.

    Arabella uses the stolen earpiece to threaten Tiberius and promise to him that she will use her signature chain weapon to break his neck, and tells him she is on Zeus, much to his shock. Arabella motions for Kora and AJ to hide as Atticus and Octavian arrive just moments before Tiberius' ship lands. A fierce battle erupts and destroys much of Zeus' landing station; after a long fight with Tiberius, Arabella snaps his neck, fulfilling her earlier promise.

    In the aftermath, Arabella returns with Kora and AJ to Vitruvius, and they ride on Zephira and return to the village. Arabella vows to forever fight the Empire and protect Kora and AJ. Tiberius' body is recovered and returned to Mephala and he is subsequently revived and granted an audience with the Emperor of the Known Universe, who demands that he bring back Arabella alive so she may be executed for desertion and bring Kora and AJ before him so he may train them to become soldiers. Before the end credits roll, Arabella notices a bright red star shining against Vitruvius' sky, indicating that she is aware that the Empire is not finished.
