Tom is a young Native American man, whose parents died when he was a child, and was raised by his grandparents in New Mexico. He notices that his grandparents help run a wolf sanctuary and have recently taken in a pregnant she-wolf, and realizes the connection goes back to his distant ancestors. Loosely based on Michael Morpurgo's book of the same name.
