lelaaloford This is my ardent case for more people to upvote Christina Chong for the role of Stella Lane. Please search YouTube for the clip “Kirk kisses La’an | Star Trek Strange New Worlds.” Nevermind the costume, hair, and makeup. Watch her performance. Her character La’an has many similarities to Stella. She is an outsider, socially disadvantaged, very serious about and good at her job. And then she meets one person she finally feels comfortable with. She has a stern exterior, but has a very innocent, vulnerable side. I am so convinced Christina could bring Stella’s character to life and do her justice with an incredible performance. She is from the UK, but like many actresses from that side of the pond, I’m sure she does a great American accent.
