Synopsis

Invitations for the fighting tournament “King of Fighters” are delivered to fighters throughout the world. The young Kyo Kusanagi from Japan joins with his friends Benimaru Nikaido and Goro Daimon to compete in the tournament. Who is its mysterious sponsor “R”? What are 3-on-3 team battles? Among these eddying doubts, one after another the famous fighters create their teams. This curtain to this battle of dreams sure to make its mark on history is about to rise.

Description of Chang Koehan:

Chang was once a feared and violent criminal in Korea. He was spotted by Kim Kaphwan from a prison's surveillance footage and he wanted to use Chang's strength "for justice". Though Chang easily broke out of prison, he was caught by Kim and forced to undergo Kim's "Rehabilitation Project" throughout the series
