Fan Casting THE IRON STREETS (2029)

The story follows Angelo Rossi, a Sicilian immigrant who comes to New York City in the midst of the Great Depression with nothing but ambition and desperation. As economic turmoil ravages the country, Angelo becomes involved with the local mob, quickly rising from a low-level enforcer to one of the city’s most powerful and feared crime lords. Along the way, Angelo forms a partnership with Vincent "Lucky" Licata, an up-and-coming mafia leader. Together, they build an empire, exploiting the city's underworld, running bootlegging operations, gambling dens, and later, war-time black market deals. However, as Angelo ascends, his personal life unravels. His wife, Lina, a fiercely loyal but morally conflicted woman, struggles with the violence and corruption surrounding their lives. The backdrop of the film includes the Great Depression, Prohibition’s aftermath, and the build-up to World War II. The political instability of the time allows the mafia to thrive as the government turns a blind eye to illegal activities in exchange for mafia cooperation in the war effort. But as the war progresses, Angelo's empire faces new threats from both within and outside, including rivals seeking to take over his territory, government crackdowns, and his own growing paranoia.
