In a pivotal scene, The Leader uses a device called the Gamma Sieve to forcibly separate Kango from David—splitting them into two beings: a soulless, raging monster and a broken man paralyzed by guilt. But this backfires. Kango, uncontrolled and furious, begins rampaging. Only when David confronts the buried trauma of their shared past—including a tragedy involving their mother—can he reconnect with Kango. David realizes he doesn’t need to tame Kango—but to listen to him.
