Greed and love, lovelessness and despair, desire and death, life and captivity, hooks, chains, and blood. Frank Cotton's insatiable appetite for the dark pleasures of pain led him to the puzzle of Lemarchand's box, and from there, to a death only a sick-minded soul could invent. This will be a direct adaptation of the novella of the same name by Clive Barker. It will include some of the same themes, darker tone from the book, the same character arcs and motivations. Clive Barker will return as writer, wanting it to be a different version from his previous movie, while hiring Leigh Janiak who previously directed the Fear Street trilogy.
