4 years ago, in Tokyo, a horrible tragedy occurs when Takeo Saeki murders his wife, child and pet cat in a horrible, jealous rage before killing himself. Due to the circumstances of their deaths, Kayako Saeki and her son Toshio Saeki spirits haunt the house, cursing any who enter their home. In a non-linear sequence events, this film explores the deadly encounters people have with the Saeki family spirits and their home.
