New Earth Lanterns, Guy Gardener, Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz are training as extra officers for Sector 2814, following the overwhelming White Martian attack on Earth. They're met with a new villain Star Sapphire, who's the new queen of the Zamarons and intend to bring order to the sector in their own violent manner and fight the Green Lanterns. Hal Jordan joins them to bring the threat down, but the threat has a deep connection to Jordan's past. Meanwhile Stewart and Katma Tui are on a secret mission to investigate the activity of the Five Inversions in the desolate Vega sector.
