At the height of America's Roaring Twenties, Nick Carraway, an ambitious stockbroker, moves into a cozy cottage on Long Island in pursuit of the elusive "American Dream," and winds up befriending his mysterious, self-made millionaire neighbor, Jay Gatsby.
