Jayne is the leader of the Little Mulling sorcerors coven, revealed to be Satanist servants of the Old Ones. She decieves her way into adopting Matthew Freeman where he is to be mentally broken and used as a sacrifice to bring the Old Ones back to this world. Jayne is skilled in magic particularly animal-based magic, showing mind control over her cat Asmodeus [named after a major demon in the Christian Bible] and being able to create vicious dog-monsters from the nuclear material at the village. She is sadistic, gleeful and very power-hungry while hiding this under a sweet old lady facade to the British government and adoption agencies. She is revealed to be Sir. Michael Marsh's secret wife.
