arry Allen is a 24-year-old forensic scientist working for the Central City Police Department. Still haunted by the murder of his mother when he was a child and his father’s wrongful imprisonment for the crime, Barry is driven to uncover the truth. After a freak accident involving a lightning strike and experimental chemicals in his lab, Barry gains super-speed and discovers his connection to the mysterious Speed Force. As Barry adjusts to his new powers, he faces Eobard Thawne, a time-traveling speedster from the future who seeks to destroy Barry’s life for reasons Barry doesn’t yet understand. The film culminates in a high-stakes battle that spans time and space, with Barry learning that being a hero means accepting the consequences of his actions, even when it hurts.
