A lightning strike transforms young CSI Barry Allen into the fastest man alive. As he struggles to control his powers, six dangerous criminals—the Rogues—escape Iron Heights: Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, Trickster, and Captain Boomerang. Their escape and high-tech weapons were secretly provided by Reverse Flash, who watches unseen. The Rogues set up in a garage where Wally West, a late-teen intern mechanic, works. They take the staff hostage while Trickster rigs bombs across Central City. With time running out, Barry turns to Jay Garrick, a retired speedster, who agrees to help. As chaos spreads, Barry confronts the Rogues in the garage. During the fight, Trickster is seconds from executing Wally, but Barry arrives just in time—racing through gunfire to rescue Wally and the other hostages. With the Rogues subdued and Wally safe, Barry turns to face Cold in a final duel. Meanwhile, Jay suits up, grinning: “Didn’t remember this being so tight.” He races across the city, reaching the final bomb just in time. He disables it, but collapses—alive, exhausted, and needing rest. Barry begins building a speed lab, honoring Jay as his mentor. Mid Credits: In the shadows, Reverse Flash watches: “They fail without me. I’ll do it myself.” Post Credits: Back at the garage, Wally, alone and fixing an engine, is struck by lightning. Golden electricity crackles across his body. Kid Flash is born.
