Synopsis

Despite I liked the parody b-movie, I think it would have been better if it had been more a screwball comedy about Jesus's coming out than a supernatural parody with fantasy elements.

  • peterjudge04 The differences: the plot is more about Jesus coming out as gay to his family and then discovering to be the Messiah than only the latter part. Mary, Joseph, God and all the other guests actually find out that Orlando is Jesus's boyfriend, with Mary accepting it, God being superior but still ok and Joseph disapproving the relationship, ending with God telling him not to be the real father of Christ and tho not having the right to be against the couple. There is also an onscreen kiss between a highly embarrassed Jesus and a salty and flamboyant Orlando. The scene where Jesus meets other deities is cut. At the end, Orlando still reveals to be the Devil, and Jesus still makes him explode. The end is near the same, with the only difference of Jesus claiming to want to not have a romantic partner for the rest of his life and telling his family to keep the secret.
