he League Of Extraodinary Gentlemen, a middle-aged Sicilian-American mobster, as he struggles to maintain control over his crumbling criminal empire in the face of rising internal dissent and external threats. After a failed hit orchestrated by his young, ambitious lieutenant Johnny Moretti, Vince finds himself questioning the loyalty of his men and the integrity of the code he has lived by. Complicating matters is Elliot Kaplan, a tenacious and morally compromised detective who is determined to bring Vince’s empire to its knees, even if it means using underhanded methods. As Vince attempts to secure alliances with rival families and rein in the recklessness of his younger associates, the pressure mounts. At the heart of the story is Vince’s growing relationship with Luca Marino, a soft-spoken, introspective enforcer who reminds Vince of the idealistic young man he used to be. Luca, however, harbors his own secrets, including a deepening hatred for the violence he’s forced to commit. As betrayals pile up and Vince’s empire collapses from within, the film builds to a violent and operatic finale.
