Fan Casting The Fall

A new incurable desease with only a fraction of the population of the US being immune. Robert and Annie Marcos are a married couple living in Arizona when the virus hits. When they evacuate their town via chopper, they only have room for one of them. Robert tells Annie to go ahead and that he will catch up with her at the Canadian Border in Seattle where they are evacuating to Canada. Robert stays behind to wait for the next chopper but after 2 weeks of no planes in the sky, zero communication with his wife, and supplies running low, he decides to pack his car and drive there. Along the way he runs in to people that either ask for his help or seek to exploit him, in exchange for supplies and fuel. He complies as long as it gets him closer to his wife.
