Quentin, Katherine, Robert and James are young aspiring film makers that are having a hard time making it in the business in 1985. Stanley and Steven are the biggest movie director's in Hollywood they have directed hit after hit and are major jerks to our aspiring directors. Eventually they meet a legendary director that calls himself The Carpenter, who becomes their teacher and helps our leads to make it in Hollywood.
