The Defenders: The Jigsaw Attack is a superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan and Matt Reeves from a screenplay he co-wrote with his brother Jonathan. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, The Defenders, it is the sequel to the previous Defenders films and the third installment in The Defenders Trilogy. The plot follows the Defenders, vigilante Punisher, Vampire killer Blade, Blazing Hot head, Ghost Rider and Egyptian Legend Moon Knight, who form an alliance to dismantle organized crime in New York City. Their efforts are derailed by Jigsaw, Secretly Billy Russo, an anarchistic mastermind who seeks to test how far The Defenders will go to save the city from chaos.
