Synopsis

The Defenders is a 2007 superhero film written and directed by Kevin Munroe (in his feature directorial debut). It is the first team-up film in the MCU franchise and a standalone sequel of Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones and Elektra. The film features an ensemble cast featuring Ben Affleck, Jordana Brewster, Thomas Jane, Jennifer Garner, Morris Chestnut, Ryan Kwanten, Michael Clarke Duncan, Colin Farrell, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Timothy Olyphant, Penelope Cruz, Jon Favreau, Anna Kendrick, Ziyi Zhang, Jada Pinkett Smith, Wesley Snipes and Nicholas Cage with narration by Jeffery Wright who would voice the watcher. The story sees the 6 Defenders: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher and Elektra coming together to save New York City from the combined forces of Kingpin, Kilgrave, Cuttermouth, Alexandra and bullseye but what they don't know is that a new player has joined the game. TMNT was released theatrically in the United States on March 23, 2007, by Marvel Studios. It was the first of two films that year to be a team-up film. The film received Positive reviews from critics, praising the film's tone, story, musical score from Ramin Djawadi, the casts chemistry and Timothy Olyphant's performance. it was a commercial success, grossing $998 million worldwide against a budget of $250 million.
