After witnessing his parents' murder as a child, Bart Hill is left mute and consumed by vengeance. Years later, he returns to the streets of Depression-era Australia, using his exceptional athleticism and combat skills to wage war on the city's criminal underworld. Taking inspiration from the legendary Aboriginal figure of the Devil, Bart becomes the masked vigilante known as the Death-Defying 'Devil. But as his crusade grows increasingly brutal, Bart must confront whether he is fighting for justice, or simply becoming another monster in the darkness.
