  • castingsinmyblood Please don't hate me for this, but I'm not sure if Michael Fassbender would take the role of Lex Luthor for a TV show. Of the few television appearances he's made, he hasn't made any since 2008 and I'm not sure if we could even afford him. This probably won't dissuade anyone (nay, it may only strengthen their resolve to see him basically play himself but bald) but I felt like I needed to say it.

    • castingsinmyblood @siddarthsid I actually kind of like the arrogant yuppie tech bro that Snyder pioneered. That's one of the reasons I suggested Topher Grace; I feel his Luthor would be a combination of his characters in American Ultra and Predators, with some Eric Foreman smarminess thrown in for good measure.

    • castingsinmyblood @siddarthsid I actually liked Jesse's portrayal. He was like a mixture of Jeffrey Epstein and Mark Zuckerberg.

    • siddarthsid @castingsinmyblood You have a very valid point, mate. Fassbender was one of the fastest rising stars in the past decade, but his career has kinda cooled off lately, chiefly due to a bunch of high profile flops. Now that major movie stars are willing to take up TV roles (McConaughey & McAdams in TD, Emma Stone in Maniac, Amy Adams in Sharp Objects, practically the whole cast of Big Little Lies etc.), I feel that taking up a complex, iconic role like Lex would be a major boost for Fass's career resurrection.
