The Breaker centers on Yi Shi-woon, a meek high-school kid tormented by bullies whose life changes when a mysterious substitute teacher, Han Chun-woo, arrives—only Shi-woon soon discovers Chun-woo is actually the legendary martial artist known as the Nine Arts Dragon hiding from a secret martial arts world called Murim.
