After restoring order to Gotham and stepping back from his obsessive crusade, Bruce Wayne seeks to rediscover his humanity, until a violent ambush by the League of Assassins shatters his brief peace. Taken captive, Bruce comes face to face with his former lover, Talia al Ghul, who delivers a revelation that changes everything: they have a son. Damian Wayne, bred in secrecy and trained by the League since birth, is a ten-year-old assassin who’s brilliant, lethal, and wholly unprepared for the moral code of the man who fathered him. As Bruce brings Damian home to Gotham, he must navigate rising tensions within the Bat-Family, particularly with the current Robin, Tim Drake, whose place Damian seeks to claim by force. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges from the League’s ashes: the Heretic, a monstrous, genetically enhanced clone of Damian who has seized control of the League and launched a global plan to destabilize world order.
