The Comicverse: Phase 1
After his girlfriend is violently turned to jelly by a popular superhero right in front of him, Hughie Campbell feels a strange, bitter feeling of hatred towards "supes" he never knew he had before. By chance, he meets with Billy Butcher, a toughened British man who Hughie is pretty sure isn't a fed, but seems to know a lot about superhumans, and plans to expose the corrupt "Vought" corporation sponsoring them to the world. Out of a need for vengeance, Hughie and Billy team up with other Anti-Supe bad-asses, and "The Boys" is born.
