The Bounty of Ryder: A Journey's End — Chapter I is a 2028 American Western action film written, co-produced, and directed by James Mangold (who also directed The Bounty of Ryder) and the fifth installment in The Chronicles of Charlotte Ryder film series. Produced by Legendary Pictures and The Stone Quarry and distributed by Lionsgate Films, it is the sequel to The Bounty of Ryder Part IV: Road of Redemption and the penultimate film in the franchise. The ensemble cast stars Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Charley Ryder, alongside Piper Rubio, Ben Foster, Christopher Judge, Don Johnson, Donald Glover, Antonio Banderas, Hailee Steinfeld, Asher Angel, Cameron Diaz, Kim Basinger, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ving Rhames, and Samuel L. Jackson. In the film, Charley Ryder sets out for Yellowstone with her daughter to hunt down the outlaw Calvin Stone for murdering several women and children in Cody. To succeed, she will have to seek help from her paternal family, whom she does not know well. The Bounty of Ryder: A Journey's End — Chapter I was released in theaters on December 10th, 2028; it grossed over $1.881 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time as well as the highest-grossing film of the franchise, and received universal acclaim, with praise for its execution, Mangold's direction, visuals, action sequences, the performances of Armstrong, Rubio, Foster, Judge, and Jackson, cinematography and emotional weight. A concluding sequel is set for release the following year.
