Fred Wilder’s loyal police sergeant and adoptive father of Gene and Cassandra. Despite their differing paths and moral viewpoints, he genuinely loves Gene as his own son. He even tries to advocate for his adoptive son’s eating disorder which causes a lot of the emotional turmoil that Gene blames himself for.
