Set in the 1930s, Betty Boop shared a familial bond with her vaudevillian father throughout her childhood until she grew up and became the hottest singer for the male audience much to her father's disapproval, and sends her to an institute where she can act like a proper lady. Six months later she yearned to meet her father who ran off from her in Hollywoodland, and sets off to find him along with her colorful friends in her first animated musical motion picture.
